BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Do Manh Dung has more than 48 years of experience in the legal field. Prior to practicing law, he served for over 41 years in the People’s Public Security Force of Vietnam, where he was directly involved in criminal investigations and the prevention and prosecution of criminal and economic crimes. Since 2020, he has continued his legal career as a practicing lawyer, focusing on legal advisory and litigation services.

With a strong legal foundation and extensive practical experience in criminal investigation and criminal proceedings, Mr. Dung possesses particular expertise in criminal advisory and litigation, especially in cases involving economic crimes, corruption, abuse of official position and authority, and environmental offences. His ability to analyze evidence, review case files, and identify key legal issues enables him to develop effective defense strategies and safeguard the lawful rights and interests of clients.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

• During his tenure at the Investigation Police Agency of the Hanoi Police Department, he directly handled and investigated numerous criminal cases, including the notable cases involving Nguyen Thi Phuc (known as “Phuc Bo”), Duong Tu Anh, and their accomplices charged with Extortion of Property, Intentional Infliction of Injury, and other criminal offences.
• Represented and protected the lawful rights and interests of clients in the criminal case involving charges of “Giving Bribes; Receiving Bribes; Abuse of Position and Power while Performing Official Duties; and Violations of Bidding Regulations Causing Serious Consequences” arising at the Medical Construction Project Management Board under the Bac Ninh Department of Health and related entities.
• Represented and protected the lawful rights and interests of clients in the criminal case involving charges of “Giving Bribes” and “Receiving Bribes” arising at the Food Safety Department under the Ministry of Health.
